“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…”
— Colossians 3:23
We often separate our faith from our work.
We assume one belongs in church on Sunday.
The other lives in our email inbox Monday through Friday.
But that’s not how God sees it.
And it’s not how we’re called to live.
God Doesn’t Bless Laziness
He blesses preparation.
He blesses obedience.
He blesses grit—the daily discipline to show up, even when no one’s watching.
You may not feel seen in your work right now.
You may be building in obscurity, pushing forward in a season that feels quiet.
But God sees every bit of it.
That spreadsheet?
That sales call?
That after-hours grind while your family sleeps?
That budgeting session you didn’t want to do?
That is holy ground.
Stop Waiting for Permission
Too many people are waiting for someone else to say,
“Okay, now you can go build the thing God already put in your heart.”
But God didn’t create you to stay stuck.
He created you to act.
And here’s the thing:
Faith isn’t passive.
It moves. It builds. It works.
It doesn’t mean rushing.
It means being ready—because you’ve done the preparation.
You’re not chasing hustle culture. You’re chasing purpose.
You’re not working for applause. You’re working for eternal reward.
Your Work Is Worship
When your motive is pure…
When your hands are diligent…
When your heart is surrendered…
Even ordinary work becomes extraordinary in the eyes of God.
So do it with care.
Do it with focus.
Do it like it matters—because it does.
Whether you’re writing code, raising kids, managing a project, or launching a side hustle to pay off debt—
you’re not just getting through the day.
You’re glorifying God through it.
Run the Day, One Step at a Time
Before you shut your laptop tonight or scroll your way into distraction, ask yourself:
Where did I show up today with intention?
Where did I hold back?
What’s one thing I can offer to God tomorrow—through my work?
That’s the path.
Not perfection.
Progress. Purpose. Presence.
If this resonated…
Hit the “Share” button or forward this to someone who’s quietly building something that matters.
They’ll get it. And they probably need it.
Until next time—
Run the day. Don’t let the day run you.
